The red carpet premiere of TV One’s “The Rickey Smiley Show” was held earlier this week at the Buckhead Theater in Atlanta, GA.  All of the show’s cast as well as a number of ATL reality-stars, singers and personalities showed up to help funny man and radio host Rickey Smiley celebrate his new venture.

RC was there to take in all the red carpet glitz and glamour and had a chance to chat with a few members of the cast about their roles and latest projects. Check it out…

Rickey Smiley with TLC’s Chilli

Demetria McKinney plays Rickeys ex-wife Monica. You may remember her from Tyler Perry’s House of Payne.  She is also a  talented singer who is currently working on a new album with Bangladesh.   She will appear next in the new BET film, Let the Church Say Amen and on stage in the True Colors Theater Company production of the Broadway play Mountain Top, directed by Jasmine Guy.

Ray J plays Rickey’s radio show producer Kenny.  The talented singer-actor says working with Smiley and TV One was like working with family. Ray J recently launched his own promotional company and says new music is on the horizon.

Meet The Rickey Smiley Show kids: Comedian Lil JJ plays oldest son Brandon , singer Ajiona Alexus plays daughter De’Anna and Gabriel Burgess plays Smiley’s youngest son Aaron.

Roz Ryan plays Smiley’s Aunt Sylvia.  Ryan, who is best known as Amelia Hetebrink on the 80’s sitcom, Amen says while she enjoys the instant gratification of acting on stage she loves the longevity of television. Ryan is currently appearing on Broadway in a new show called, Scandalous.

Noree Victoria plays Rickey’s business manager, Simone. Victoria says she enjoys playing her character who is really a “larger than life” version of herself. Victoria next role is in the Hallmark Channel film, Common Law.
