Anika Noni Rose will guest-star on CBS’s Sherlock Holmes adaptation Elementary.
The Dreamgirls alum will play Dr. Carrie Fox, a former colleague of Joan’s, who assists Joan (Lucy Liu) and Sherlock (Jonny Lee Miller) in their investigation into the “Angel of Death.”
Rose will appear in one episode of the new series, which premieres Thursday, September 27 at 10/9c on CBS.
Loretta Devine is heading to TV Land this week for a 2-episode arc in its freshman half-hour comedy series, The Soul Man. In her arc, Loretta Devine will play Della, the mother of Cedric the Entertainer‘s Reverend Boyce.
She is called to St. Louis when her estranged husband Barton (John Beasley) decides he wants to move to Florida permanently after visiting his brother there. Stamps (Wesley Jonathan) will enlist Della’s help in keeping his father in check.
Devine’s first episode will air this Wednesday at 10/9c on TV Land.
