Nicki Minaj fans got a double dose of girl power this past Tuesday night when the Young Money rapper was joined by her idol Foxy Brown at NYC’s famed Roseland Ballroom.

Minaj introduced Brown as the artist “who has influenced me the most out of every female in the rap game.” Minaj continued to praise Brown by saying, “I wanna thank you for being one of my biggest influences in the game.  There isn’t a female rapper in the world who has opened more doors for me than you.”

The free concert was a make-up show that Minaj promised to her precious Barbz after having cancelled her gig with the Hot 97 Summer Jam. Minaj was scheduled to headline the annual summer show but was pulled out by Lil Wayne after radio personality Peter Rosenberg made negative comments about her pop-friendly song “Starships.”

Tuesday night’s show, however, was well worth the wait since fans who got a chance to be up close and personal with their favorite star along with special guests Lil Wayne, Drake, and Cam’ron.
