Keep It Moving…

One of gospel’s greats, Pastor Marvin Sapp, has filmed a pilot for an upcoming reality show, tentatively titled, Marvin Sapp:  Single Dad.

The reality show will feature Marvin Sapp’s three children, and focus on how he manages being a single parent while balancing a busy career.  After losing his wife, MaLinda Sapp in 2010,  Pastor Sapp and his children decided to keep moving forward.

“The day after she passed, that morning at 6 a.m. my kids were up getting ready for school. “And I was like, ‘You don’t have to go to school today — Mommy just went to be home with the Lord yesterday.’ And they said, ‘No, no, Daddy. We’ve got to go to school because Mommy would want us to keep it moving.’  That’s what we’ve been doing ever since, me and my children — we’ve been keeping it moving, What I’ve learned is the best way to honor someone who has passed on is to live.”

Single Dad is said to hit the screen this fall, however, the show has yet to be picked up by any networks.  The show’s synopsis reads:

Raising two teens and a tween while pastoring a church, maintaining a music career and fighting off “God told me your my husband!” women – requires more prayer and skills than this recently widowed Dad thinks he possesses.
