Born in Brazil, raised in Côte d’Ivoire, West Africa, and now based in New York is fashion designer, Loza Maléombho; giving African prints a Victorian inspired appeal.  While checking out the latest in fashion on one of my favorite sites, I came across this innovative/award-winning designer and immediately began looking for more photos of her work.Loza’s Autumn/Winter 2012 – 13 season focuses on tailored jackets, long and cropped vests with curved piping, low slung trousers, stylish turbans, backless dresses and more.  She uses Kente fabric, which is hand woven 100% cotten from the Akan’s tribe in Ghana but also from Baoule’s tribe in Côte d’Ivoire.  Check out the visuals of a few of her detailed designs:
