Antonio Hardy better known by his stage name Big Daddy Kane, is a Grammy Award-winning American rapper/actor who started his career in 1986 as a member of the rap group the Juice Crew.  Along with being a smooth lyricist, he was well known for his presence and his style which was the beginning of what we now call swagger!  He also introduced innovative live performances as well. Kane was the first rapper to ever hold not one but two sold out shows at the world famous Apollo Theater for women only.

He is regarded as one of the most influential and skilled golden aged rappers.  Smooth Operator is said to be the song that solidified him but we also love:  I Get the Job Done, Ain’t No Half Steppin’, Raw, Set it Off and more.

Big Daddy Kane is currently a member of a band called The Las Supper.  They are a modern day music band with a vintage style that has successfully infused hip-hop with the live band experience.  Its members consist of the Los Angeles based musicians, Connie Price and the Keystones and soulful singer Showtyme.  Their sold-out shows led way to the group going into the studio to record a full-length album.  The LP entitled Back To The Future is due out this year.
