Last year it was announced that actor Malik Yoba began teaching students the fundamentals of acting in theater, film and television.  His class, The Working Actor, is an intensive course consisting of workshops and lectures at (LIU) Long Island University’s Brooklyn campus.

Along with his acting credits, Yoba is a producer, director and an entrepreneur!  His extensive background in the business enables him to educate others.  In a video posted online, Yoba is shown teaching his class about the art of acting; click here to watch.

The course is not just for actors, “I want to give an in-depth look into the business side of acting,” said the veteran actor. “I will also provide performance-based exercises and techniques that will be beneficial to anyone interested in effectively communicating to individuals and large crowds—whether it be the boardroom, the classroom, on the pulpit or on the stage.”
