Urban-themed films are in high demand after the success of Think Like A Man, so after a two-year hiatus Fox Searchlight has set Paula Patton to star in Baggage Claim.  This project has been in the works since 2010 reports S&A; at that time Taraji P. Henson was slated for the lead.

Baggage Claim is a romantic-comedy that David E. Talbert has adapted and will direct from his best-selling 2003 novel.  In the film, Paula Patton will play flight attendant Montana Monroe (who at 35 is the only woman in her family not married).  Her sister is engaged, so Montana and her fellow flight attendants become determined to put a ‘claim check’ on a husband in 30 days or 30,000 miles.

Filming is set to begin this September and this will be David E. Talbert’s second time behind the camera.  His directorial debut was First Sunday for Screen Gems, which was based on his play.

Paula Patton is one busy lady, going from Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, to 2 Guns and now Baggage Claim!
