NBC has picked up its second comedy series for the fall and Lamman Rucker is a part of the core cast. The series pilot reportedly tested through the roof and the show was picked up for 13 episodes.
Save Me, starring Anne Heche (Beth Harper), is about a woman in a broken marriage who transforms into a version of herself and creates miracles along the way. Rucker is cast as Dr. John Wilkins (he should do well, he played a doctor in Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns) co-starring alongside Heche, Alexandra Breckenridge (Carry Brugano) and Michael Landes (Tom Harper).
It will be interesting to see his role as Heche’s psychologist; his character aides Heche as her life events lead her to believe she is a prophet of God.
Rucker will next be seen in Russ Parr’s The Under Shepherd, which will screen at the ABFF next month.
