In an exclusive interview singer Bobby Brown sits down with TODAY’s Matt Lauer for the first time since Whitney Houston‘s death!  “I didn’t get high before I met Whitney…I’m not the reason she’s gone,” Brown tells Lauer.  The first part of Brown’s interview airs this Wednesday.

It has been nearly three months since Whitney passed and her ex-husband had been silent, until now.  Bobby Brown opened up to Matt Lauer about the last time he saw Whitney, how he found out about her death, being blamed for Whitney’s drug use, his relationship with daughter Bobbi Kris and more.

The Huffington Post reports Brown had dinner with Houston and their daughter, Bobbi Kristina, a week before the singer’s death and remembers a glowing Whitney who “looked really well” and exhibited a positive demeanor that left Brown even more shocked upon news of her death.

In a second segment that will air Thursday, Lauer interviewed Brown’s fiancée, Alicia Etheride, and three children: Landon, Bobby Jr. and La’Princia, who all defended Brown’s negative reputation.

The two-part interview with Bobby Brown will air 5/2 & 5/3 on NBC at 7am ET, check your local listings.
