The Obama Effect will make it’s way to theatres July 13th!  Yes, this project that was seemingly shelved now has a release date; exclusively through AMC theatres.  The select markets will include:  Little Rock, Charlotte, Atlanta, Baltimore, Washington DC, Orlando, Jackson, Dallas, Houston, Detroit and Norfolk.

Charles S. Dutton directs and stars in the film along with Vanessa Bell Calloway, Katt Williams, Meagan Good, and Glynn Turman.

According to Indiewire, the Kartel Company is now repping the film and offered this official synopsis:

The Obama Effect is a dramedy about John Thomas (Charles S. Dutton), an insurance salesman, who suddenly takes an overwhelming interest in the 2008 Obama campaign after a serious health scare changes his view on life. The movie follows the Thomas family, friends and foes through this historic time in American history.
