On May 18th the battle for earth begins at sea! Peter Berg’s Battleship, based on the classic naval board game by Hasbro, has done quite well overseas (grossing more than $100 million) and is headed to the U.S.
Pop songstress-turned-actress Rihanna is busy traveling the globe on a promo tour for Battleship! Rihanna makes her motion-picture debut as Petty Officer Second Class Cora Raikes-weapons specialist on USS John Paul Jones.
The film’s synopsis reads: ‘…an epic-scale action-adventure unfolds across the seas, in the skies and over land as our planet fights for survival against a superior force.’
The film also stars Taylor Kitsch (John Carter), Brooklyn Decker (What to Do When You’re Expecting), Alexander Skarsgard (True Blood) and Liam Neeson (Taken).
