Tennessee Williams’, A Streetcar Named Desire, will feature a multi-racial cast headed by Blair Underwood, Nicole Ari Parker, Daphne Rubin-Vega and Wood Harris.

It will be the first time Williams’ play has been on Broadway since 2005.  The play will be directed by Emily Mann and produced by Stephen Byrd and Alia M. Jones of Front Row Productions, who produced the 2008 Broadway revival of  Cat on a Hot Tin Roof  that featured an African-American cast.

According to Playbill.com, the previews will begin at the Broadhurst Theatre on April 3 and the official opening is April 22.
