Earlier this month, raycornelius.com wrote about a new project from BET and husband-and-wife duo Mara Brock Akil & Salim Akil entitled Single Black Female.
At that time Gabrielle Union was the only actor cast for the pilot, well Richard Roundtree and Aaron D. Spears (The Bold & The Beautiful) have been cast opposite Union in the hour-long pilot.

Single Black Female chronicles the work and family life of popular talk show host Mary Jane (Union). Roundtree will play Mary Jane’s father & Spears will play Mark Bradley, a co-anchor and close friend to Mary Jane.
Mara Brock Akil and Salim Akil are the creative minds behind the popular BET series The Game.
