Saturday, March 10th is National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day and several black actresses have partnered with the Greater Than AIDS campaign to speak up and out against the disease .

Celebrities including Vanessa Williams, Shaun Robinson, Essence Atkins and more have come together in this video to address the impending HIV-AIDS crisis facing black women.

According to Greater Than AIDS.org, Black women account for more than two thirds of new infections occurring among women in the US.

The CDC sites limited access to high-quality health care, poverty, stigma, fear and discrimination as key factors in higher rates of HIV infection amongst women of color and particularly, black women.
