Will Smith set the record straight recently about his marriage to wife Jada Pinkett-Smith during an interview with Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson. The “Men In Black” star was there to promote the third installation of the film series but had this to say about the media’s obsession over his marriage and those pesky divorce rumors.
“For me with that type of stuff you can’t take that personally. It’s a game and it’s funny I don’t look at things as the upside or downside [of fame]. It’s just a part of the game. I’m not gonna play that part but I can understand where somebody would have something in their heart where they need to stab at somebody, where they need to poke at somebody. But I’m indestructible. You’re gonna hurt yourself stabbing at me [laughs].”
Will has had to deal with a lot over the past few months including rumors of an extramarital affair between his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith and her Hawthorne co-star Marc Anthony.
At the end of the interview, Will thanked Shaun for having a “delicate hand” when asking her questions about his personal life.
“I absolutely appreciate your tacked. Because I understand that you have questions you have to ask but there is a delicate hand and a difference between entertainment and people’s lives. And I appreciate how you handle my life.”
Men in Black III opens in theaters on May 25th

Just wanted to say HI. I found your blog a few days ago on Technorati and have been reading it over the past few days.
What a class act, WS is deserving of all the blessings he has obtained up to this point in his life/career. His relationship with Jada is strong & I enjoy reading his response to the media stab at his marriage. My hat off to any couple that is willing to work on protecting their relationship. What a great example of love for life and a positive pursuit of all the great things life can offer. Do your thing Will.
