The first Ghana Fashion and Design Week premiered last week to rave reviews…
There were a few hic-ups, but the outcome was well received; there was even a collection made entirely out of hair!
There were collections that focused on the female body and its innate sexuality, colourful prints of the continent and 50’s inspired designs.
The show surprised as well as greeted on-lookers with more recognized prints and styles, nevertheless the first day was something the country should be proud of, putting African talent on the world stage thanks to its sponsors which included Vogue Italia, the media partner of the event.
