How would you define a Black Rapper or Gay Music? Well, hip hop star Pharrell Williams wants to know!
According to Elev8.com, the innovative music producer and now social media creator [check out i am Other] is taking it to the streets to find out just how society views certain music genres, artists and the audience demographic that listens.
Williams is documenting all of this in a new video series called “Stereotypes: What Color is Your Music.” Take a look at this clip of the documentary as host Ryan Hall ‘ambushes’ New Yorkers, getting their candid and very direct opinions about race, identity and music.
