Marlon Wayans has inked a new deal with TBS for new competition series titled Funniest Wins. The network has ordered eight one-hour episodes and plans to release the series this summer.

According to Indie Wire, Wayans along with his comedian friends and family members will search the country for the funniest comic, whether the performer is a season vet or an overnight YouTube sensation.

Reportedly, the series will begin with a group of professional and amateur comics who will learn a particular comedic styles from Wayans and his special guests. After the comics have mastered what they have learned, they will be put to the test in a competition, with one of the comics going home.  The last comic standing will receive a cash prize as well as a starring role in an online series for Wayans’ WhatTheFunny.com.

Wayans will also serve as executive producer of the show along with Rick Alvarez, Lisa Blum and Steve Harris as Producer.

RC will keep you updated as this project continues to develop.
