The new season of Bounce TV’s hit comedy series Family Time airs tonight beginning at 9 p.m. EST and yours truly got an opportunity to chat with one of the stars of the show, Angell Conwell.

The 32-year-old actress who’s appeared in numerous television and film projects like Baby Boy, The Wash and The Young and the Restless, returns to Tuesday nights as Lisa Stallworth, the stay-at-home wife of a middle-class African-American family in Southern California. The 30-minute sitcom follows The Stallworths as they try to juggle kids, work and in-laws.

I actually met up with the South Carolina beauty when she was promoting the show in August during the Steve Harvey Neighborhood Awards. Conwell was not only ecstatic about Family Time entering its third season on Bounce but she expressed how blessed she was to be doing what she loves.

She also talked about the positive experience of working with her TV husband and former real-life boyfriend, Omar Gooding and how her role as ‘Leslie Michelson’ on Y&R actually prepared her for this one. Conwell also talked about how fortunate she was to be on television during a time when so many shows starring African-Americans are dominating primetime!
