Wednesday evening LEXUS teamed up with noted fashion designer Waraire Boswell for a fashion extravaganza titled, Beyond The Cut.  The VIP event took place at Atlanta’s Foundry at Puritan Mill and featured a sneak peek of Boswell’s Fall Menswear Collection. Joining him as host was Emmy nominated television personality, author and fashion journalist, Lloyd Boston.

Boswell has outfitted some of the most influential players in business and professional sports, including LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Bruno Mars, NAS, and Dwyane Wade. His styles are regularly profiled in Esquire, GQ, Vogue, Details and The Hollywood Reporter.

Boswell’s collection was inspired by the sleek, luxurious and powerful design of the all-new LEXUS RC F performance coupe, which boasts the most powerful V8 engine ever developed by LEXUS. Fall fashion forecasts call for form, line and the appearance of expert, yet effortless tailoring. These characteristics are embodied in Boswell’s celebrated high-end made to measure and ready to wear collections.  Beyond The Cut was also a tribute to Atlanta’s thriving LGBT community of movers and shakers. It’s a demographic that LEXUS recognizes for creating style trends and influencing pop culture.

“Atlanta has been a really important market for LEXUS and we’ve been coming down here for a number of years celebrating the culture and the community. Tonight happens to be one of those opportunities for us to recognize the LGBT community in this market which is always vibrant and part of the LEXUS mix, says Aaron Walton of Walton Isaacson, the advertising machine behind the LEXUS brand. “We really want to celebrate this community—nationally and locally. It’s a great opportunity to thank the consumers that have supported us all these years.”

Lloyd Boston also chimed in about Atlanta’s unique sense of style and its direct connection to the LEXUS brand.  “Atlanta is known for a very specific style. A very cool, hip, urban style but it’s also real and relatable. That’s why this partnership between automotive and fashion makes sense,” says Boston. “Waraire has a very relatable way about him even though his clothes come across very sophisticated and goes from comfort to tuxedos. The good thing is that you can dress for all occasion whether you’re in a LEXUS Sport or a more formal car, it’s a great marriage. Atlanta is also known for driving in style and people aren’t afraid to show what they have here and I think that’s a winning combination.”
